Tolerance Library

Save your company’s tolerance standards once and apply them to any drawing.

Opening the Library

In the sidebar’s Tols. tab, click Library. It lists your saved standards with their dates, number of rules and tags. Search by name, description or tag.

Adding a Standard from an Image

  1. Click Upload.
  2. Name the standard, for example “Machining Tolerances 2026”, and add tags such as “casting” or “machining”.
  3. Choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image of the tolerance table.
  4. Click Upload and scan. Lens extracts the rules and saves the standard.

Entering Rules Manually

  1. Click Enter manually.
  2. Fill in Standard name and Tags.
  3. Add rules with Code, Range or Decimal, and set each rule’s dimension type, range and tolerance.
  4. Click Save to library.

You can also save tables you scan from a drawing.

Editing or Deleting a Standard

  • Edit: click the standard, change its details or rules, then click Save to library.
  • Delete: click its delete icon. This can’t be undone.

Applying a Standard

Click Apply next to the standard. Lens applies it to the drawing’s dimensions.
