Applying a Tolerance Standard

Apply a general tolerance standard, such as DIN ISO 2768, to every dimension that has no tolerance of its own.

Applying a Standard

  1. In the sidebar, open the Tols. tab.
  2. Open the standards dropdown (Add a standard) and choose a standard. Type in the search box to filter the list.

Choosing a standard opens Apply Tolerance Standard:

Apply Tolerance Standard

Choose which dimensions to update.

  1. In Apply Tolerance Standard, choose which dimensions to update: All, Critical or Grouped. See Dimension Groups.
  2. Click Apply Standard.

If a standard is already applied, only the remaining dimensions are updated.

Checking What Changed

The standard’s name appears in the Tols. tab with two icons:

  • Eye: highlights, in blue, the dimensions whose tolerance comes from this standard.
  • ×: removes the standard.

Applied tolerances appear in the exported inspection plan.

Changing the Standard

Choose a different standard from the same dropdown. It replaces the old one.

Tip: To use your company’s own tolerance table, scan it from the drawing or save it to the Tolerance Library.
