Agentic quoting

• Quote castings — die-cast parts now get a die room and a machining room alongside the mould room.
• Agent memory — teach the agents your machines, material prices and past quotes from one drop of your spreadsheets. They remember what you tell them in the room, too.
• An analyst across your quotes — it reads your quote history and points out what it notices.
• Quotes is now your home page, and you can add a 2D drawing beside your STEP file.
• See the mould, the fill and its defects (weld lines, air traps, sink, pressure) right in the quote.
• The room can add a second gate when one isn't enough, and meets again when you change the pull direction.
• Click an agent to see the evidence behind its answer.
• The quote always prices the build the room decided on, and it says which rates it uses.
• Generate a report straight from a quote.

Costing

• The costing panel opens only when you ask for it, so you land on your part first.
• Suggestions for mold steel and cavity count.

New

• Agentic quoting — upload a STEP file and get a quote straight away. A team of specialist agents then reviews the part, and the price tightens as they go.
• Chat with the agents right inside the 3D view.
• The costing room's decision flows straight into the quote.

Improved

• Light and dark themes.
• Quotes open immediately while the agents keep working in the background.

• Wall thickness runs faster, and you can cancel it partway through.
• Machining hours and cost values show as whole numbers, so they're easier to read.
• The die-casting report opens as soon as its images are ready.

Costing

• Die-casting costs now include per-shot consumables.
• Post-cast machining is estimated as a real machine cycle, with cut directions and panel totals fixed.
• Injection-molding press size now accounts for the runner as well as the part.
• The costing sheet is simpler: margin is left to you, and material warnings are clearer.

AI cost setup

• Mold layout is now a step in the guided setup, with a choice of two- or three-plate molds.

Polish

• A tidier costing header.

New

• Assembly Prep — upload an assembly, mark each part as make or buy, and download the parts you manufacture as separate STEP files.
• Add a 2D drawing to your part. We read the title block and suggest a matching material.

Improved

• A cleaner app layout with a left sidebar.
• Pick materials from a full-screen selector.
• Mold layout and insert options are simpler to set up.
• Regional rates and landed-cost figures are refreshed.

Die casting

• Fill playback is smoother and easier to follow.
• Weld lines are now graded by cold-shut risk, so you can see which ones matter.

Analysis

• Sharp corners are read straight from your CAD faces and judged against the surrounding wall.

Polish

• Mold assembly lines up correctly on parts with an angled pull.
• The view cube has a home button to reset the camera.

Wall thickness

• Wall-thickness colouring is sharper and more detailed, so thin regions read crisply even on simple geometry.
• Thickness results no longer appear automatically when you open a project — run the study when you want it.

Costing

• Cooling is now costed from your part's actual shape, so chunky and thin-walled parts get appropriately different cooling estimates.
• Die-casting and injection-molding tooling options are now aligned, so both processes offer the same controls.

Access

• Paid plans now get straight into the app — no waitlist.

Also this week

• New texture draft check: pick a surface finish and see where your part needs more draft to release cleanly.
• Choose the colour your part renders in.
• More realistic injection-molding cycle times.
• A redesigned export panel, with a quick "costing checked" confirmation before you export.

Machining, where you work

• The machining plan, machined surfaces, and side actions now live in the left panel and study tree, alongside everything else about your part.
• Hole details now show which opening each machining operation enters from — and how deep it goes.

Feature detection

• The feature panel now groups detected features by family and direction, so long feature lists are easy to scan.

Downloads & exports

• Download your part as a STEP file straight from the dashboard.
• The cost export now includes slider manufacturing details.

Costing

• A cleaner cost console with clearer USD and EUR handling.

Polish

• Changing the pull direction automatically re-runs the mold assembly, keeping clearances valid.

Machining-aware HPDC costing

• We now identify which faces of your casting will need machining after casting — and pre-fill the machining cost from them, so your quote reflects the real post-processing work.
• Alloy-specific data improves die-casting thermal and cycle-time estimates, so numbers better reflect the alloy you actually chose.

Your quotes and exports

• Every export is now saved per project — reopen any previously exported cost sheet in a read-only viewer.
• The order summary now includes material cost and part weight.
• Currency now shows in the right place on the exported sheet.

Workspace

• The left panel is now called "Cost & Analysis" — a better name for what it does.
• The Pre6 AI chat can be minimised while you work and answers more reliably.
• Trials now start with a quick sign-in, so your work is saved to your account from the first upload.

Tooling detail

• EDM operations are only added where a standard cutter genuinely can't reach, and slide costs now reflect each slide's retract direction — tighter, more defensible tooling numbers.

Fixes & polish

• Cost summary cards no longer shift on hover.
• Switching between analyses is cleaner and no longer shows stale results.
• Draft-angle results now use the correct reference direction.

Wall thickness, more accurate

• Wall-thickness results are noticeably more accurate, especially near corners and edges that could previously read thinner than they really are — fewer false "too thin" warnings.
• Thickness colours now map more faithfully to the measured values.

Pre6 AI assistant

• The assistant now reasons through your question before answering and calls its analysis tools far more reliably.
• It can do much more for injection molding and die casting — from running analyses to reading your costing numbers — so more requests get a direct, actionable answer.

Workspace

• The study panel now looks and behaves the same across all processes.
• Section cuts: planes now select one at a time, and picking the model behaves as expected.
• Removed a duplicated part summary from the costing workspace.

• The app stays responsive while fill results are loading.

Feature detection

• Holes are understood in more detail, including slotted holes, boss shapes, and stepped hole features.

Costing

• Injection-molding mold machining cost is now derived from your part's actual geometry, so tooling estimates track the part in front of you.
• The part summary now includes your part's overall bounding-box dimensions.

Getting started

• A refreshed onboarding tour with clearer pointers and a legend, so your first analysis is easier to follow.

Structural stress (preview)

• A new stress check shades your part by stress and safety factor, so you can see where it's most likely to fail under load.
• Enter your own load and the results rescale instantly, with a clear read-out of how close you are to the material's limit.
• Accounts for fibre direction in glass-filled grades for a more realistic strength picture.

Fill & gates

• Injection molding fill now shows an injection-pressure budget and a pressure map, so hard-to-fill regions stand out before you quote.
• Gate improvements: clearer cost split across gates, better sizing, and refined parting-line handling.

Pre6 AI & polish

• The Pre6 AI assistant has a cleaner, easier redesign.
• Tidier costing sheet and a smoother loading experience.

Mold & tooling costs

• Redesigned mold-cost warnings and a cleaner tool-design layout, so tooling numbers are easier to read and trust.
• HPDC machining cost is now estimated from your part's actual features.
• Machine tonnage is available right in the quick inputs.

Fewer things to re-enter

• Your mold material cost and production quantity are now remembered between sessions.
• The cost sheet and the cost pop-up always show the same numbers.

Gate Studio

Find a better gate in seconds, not minutes.

• Place a gate on your part and instantly see how the cavity fills — the familiar blue-to-red fill map updates in a fraction of a second, instead of waiting on a full simulation.
• See where weld lines are likely to form (where two flow fronts meet) as you move the gate, so you can catch cosmetic and strength risks early.
• Add several gates, fine-tune any gate's position and watch the fill rebalance live, or let Gate Studio suggest a well-balanced next gate for you.
• Starts from the gates you've already placed, so you're always tweaking your real layout — and your quote is never affected until you decide.
• Works for both injection molding and high-pressure die casting.

It's a fast preview to guide your gate decisions — confirm the final layout with the full fill analysis before you quote.

Enabling AI agentic workflow

• A new AI assistant works alongside the 3D model — ask it to run analyses, set up your quote, and explain the numbers in plain language.
• It plans, acts, and checks its own work: it can run fill, draft, thickness, undercut, sharp-corner, and cross-section analyses, then walk you through what it found.
• Ask for a should-cost or tooling quote and get an answer in your selected currency, with the cost drivers and a sensitivity view of what moves the price most.
• Suggests DFM fixes for the issues it spots, and can adjust fill inputs and other settings for you on request.
• Available to everyone — no beta sign-up — and you can try it in guest mode on a sample part before creating an account.

Costing

• HPDC costing overhauled — trim-die tooling, scaled cycle stages, shot build-up, and clearer cell rates for more realistic quotes.
• New HPDC post-casting section covers treatments, machining, and inspection, so finished-part quotes reflect the full process.
